Summary on Grant Application Form
This proposal describes the organisation of an international seminar for the best researchers in the field of power systems from around the world. The main objective of this seminar is to foster the next generation of researchers in this field and to show that this research community is vibrant, cares for its rising stars and is ready to tackle the challenges posed by global warming, the introduction of competitive electricity markets and the ageing of the existing power system infrastructure. All the participants will be expected to give a presentation on their current research and to take part in the discussions and creativity sessions. The aim of these creativity sessions is to give an opportunity to the participants to explore as a group what they see as the main research challenges in the field and to identify promising approaches to overcome these challenges.
