|
This proposal is seeking funding for 60 months of post-doctoral research effort to pump-prime speculative catalysis-based projects in the Chemistry Department at the University of Bath. Two adventurous lead projects have been identified for initial support which involve the selective functionalisation of proteins using transition metal catalysis. The management and allocation of remaining funds will be conducted by the department research committee and approved by the department executive committee. It is expected that suitable spin-off projects from existing EPSRC sponsored programmes will be in a strong position to receive support for 6-12 months of PDRA effort.
