Currently the biomedical sciences are generating substantial amounts of data. Focussing specifically on the cancer context, the interpretation of these datasets draws on mathematical and computational skills beyond traditional cancer research. The proposed Workshop would stimulate interaction between researchers in this discipline and we will engage the interest of researchers in related disciplines such as statistics, machine learning and various areas of computer science.
