Summary on Grant Application Form |
As a result of a number of currently funded programmes, the group at Imperial College are working on the magnetic and magnetoresistive properties of semi and full Heusler alloys, Cr02 and SrFeMoO6. The current proposal is for a visiting fellowship for Professor J Trodahl to spend three months with the group at the Blackett Laboratory. The visit would provide an opportunity to use the extensive Imperial optical characterisation facilities and Prof. Trodahl's experience of the optical properties of magnetic oxides to seed an original programme of activities on the optical characterisation of half metals. It is our intention to use Prof Trodahls time in the UK not only to bring forward activities at Imperial but also to being added benefit to the wider UK community through our links with a number of EPSRC funded networks.
