Summary on Grant Application Form |
The HR program has been implemented, using general principles from Artificial Intelligence, to form theories across a range of mathematical domains. Moreover, HR has also been applied successfully to discovery tasks in certain theories.A Zariski Space is a newly invented mathematical domain, incorporating several existing domains, including rings, modules and topologies, among others. Since Zariski Spaces are a recent development, they have not yet been studied to any great extent. This proposal couples the authors of HR with the inventor of Zariski Spaces. We will employ HR to explore this new domain, and in so doing, identify ways in which to evaluate and improve HR. There is the potential therefore, not only to discover new results in Zariski Spaces, but also to strengthen HR as a discovery tool for mathematicians.
