Summary on Grant Application Form
This proposal seeks to enable a Masters Programme in Information Displays, distributed throughout the country at key centres, and to address a drastic skills shortage in this area. It is designed to support existing large display companies, emerging optoelectronic SMEs, and display users in the UK. It is hoped that this will provide a framework for display activities within the UK, bringing all parties together in a coherent and integrated way as well as creating a new synergy for networking, research, collaboration and training. As well as improving the existing slaps base, the provision of new highly skilled graduates into this crucially important industry to the UK is seen as being of paramount importance.
