Summary on Grant Application Form
The primary objective of the project is to understand the fundamental chemistry underlying the preparation and activity of Cu- and Cr-promoted SnO2 and SnO2/CeO2 environmental control catalysts. This will involve:1. An in-depth examination of the preparation stages of the catalysts.2. Characterisation of the catalysts prior to, during and after operation.3. A mechanistic investigation of the surface reactions involved in the catalytic processes, particularly those involved in Nox conversion.
